“Heac Ornamenta mea”
Cornelia is the mother of the Gracchi who boasted that her children were her real and most important ornaments: “Heac ornamenta mea”, dedicating her life to their moral and intellectual growth.
Cornelia is also the secular mother of the primordial Mother, the Adi Shakti, whose creation continues to manifest itself even in the work of artists and artisans of pure desire.
Cornelia Ornamenta considers the creative process as a living process that lives in the specificity of the single moment, free from the emptiness and transience of fashion.
Cornelia Ornamenta takes shape and inspiration from high views, seeking Beauty as an expression of Her visions.
Cornelia Ornamenta is a project by Chiara Pignotti and Cinzia Scolari.
Creative biography CORNELIA ORNAMENTA
Cornelia Ornamenta is an jewelry project founded by Chiara Pignotti and Cinzia Scolari in 2018 in Cabella Ligure, a small town in northern Italy. Life has taken them to distant lands, making Cornelia Ornamenta an itinerant project.
Sweden and Italy are the places where their jewels take shape, made by hand in small artisan workshops.
Their interest is aimed at precious metals, in particular silver, and natural materials. Their works are the result of creative paths and suggestions that gradually invade their attention, but also give life to the desires and fantasies of numerous clients, shaping unique bespoke works for them. Wax is the first element that shapes their ideas making them tangible, alive; fire transforms them by melting metals into precious sculptures. This magic is called lost wax casting. Cornelia Ornamenta seeks the originality of the creative gesture freed from the needs of the market, promoting handmade culture, slow and detailed manufacturing processes, and direct contact with people interested in the project.
Cornelia Ornamenta also carries out information and dissemination work on the history of jewelry, collaborating with universities and organizing events
