VIVA FLAMENCO!
In 1992, guitarist Michał Czachowski created "VIVA FLAMENCO!" to produce a unique blend of classic and contemporary flamenco music drawing inspiration from Indian, Arabic, and jazz music. Together with guitars, the ensemble incorporates numerous traditional ethnic musical instruments to give their performance a vivid, exotic flair. Their diverse library of music contains improvisational pieces composed by some of the greatest flamenco guitarists, as well as traditional and original works that vary in rhythm and emotion. The talented playing of their instruments is accentuated by elaborate costumes and creative dances, creating an unforgettable show of artistry. The team has won numerous awards over the years and regularly provides performances in Poland and overseas, at premier guitar gatherings, as well as jazz, ethnic, and folk festivals. Not only have they brought their music to large venues such as large halls, theaters, and philharmonics, but they have also performed as solos or groups in various local venues.
INDIALUCIA
Since 1999, Indialucia has presented concerts globally where they blend Indian music with traditional flamenco from Andalusia. For this project, they have recruited many acclaimed talents from Spain, India, and Poland. When listening to their performances, audiences are treated to a stimulating amalgamation of these two cultures' deep-rooted heritages. Improvisation and timing are the two elements that form the foundation of both musical genres and are imperative to carry this music on. Additionally, Indian and flamenco music have been incorporated into the sound, as well as jazz piano, bass guitar, flute, and dance, and in 2016 they began embarking on a tour with classical orchestras, which gives a fresh twist to symphonic music. They have performed and recorded with many acclaimed musicians including Jorge Pardo, Paquito Gonzalez, L. Subramaniam, Purbayan Chatterjee, Domingo Patricio, Leszek Mozdzer, Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Kavita Krishnamurti and other notable figures.
